TheDirty.com Malware Virus or Money-grabbing Exploit?

After going to check Hooman Abedi Karamian’s aka Nik Richie‘s TheDirty.com, it seems his website has become infected with a virus / malware. The hell is going on? Well, Anonymous is apparently taking responsibility.

Alongside this a video has been posted by “Anonymous”. You can watch it above, and here is a transcript:

“Attention Nik Richie, we are Anonymous. For the next few moments we would like your full undesired attention and hope that you heed the warning as follows:

Anonymous has been closely watching over you and your controversial website, TheDirty.com, and we are displeased. Anonymous views you as nothing more than a cyberbully that condones teenage suicide, racism and sexism. You ignore people’s right to privacy and you selfishly profit from the explicit and cruel so called gossip that has ruined hundreds of lives. After several legal cases you still refuse to remove the content, even if it lead to the death of a 17 year old girl. Anonymous has therefore decided that you yourself will now become a target and a joke in the eyes of the internet. We Anonymous. We are legion. We do not forget. We do not forgive. Expect us.”

Update: “Anonymoushas denied any involvement with the website hack. Strange, hmm? We have also been contacted by an user who claims that Nik Richie planted the malware himself in order to spy on visitor webcams and otherwise exploit his fan’s computers. Is he really getting that desperate? Who knows…
